Monica Catalinac
Founder, Women Who Build
Monica Catalinac has spent more than 20 years building businesses, ecommerce infrastructure, digital platforms, and education programs from the ground up. She is not a consultant who advises from the sidelines. She is an operator who builds, tests, breaks things, fixes them, and scales them.
She is the co-founder of DociShield, a secure document and payment platform used by businesses operating in high trust environments globally. She is also the creator of Kids in Business, an entrepreneurship education program built on the belief that practical skills should start young.
Women Who Build exists because Monica kept seeing the same gap. Events full of women who left feeling inspired but with nothing to actually do on Monday morning. Platforms built by marketers performing empowerment rather than operators delivering results. Communities that looked good but changed nothing.
When Monica started out in business nothing was easy to find. Support, network, guidance, and practical help were scattered across hours of research and dead ends. Meeting people was hard. Networking felt inaccessible. Basic information required extensive searching. She built Women Who Build to be the opposite of all of that. Practical infrastructure for women who are serious about building something real regardless of her background, her network, or her postcode.
She built Women Who Build for the woman who has always figured things out the hard way. No inherited network. No roadmap handed to her. No room that felt like it was built for someone like her. That woman exists in every suburb, every cultural background, and every income bracket across Australia.
